About
Mbale Union of Persons with Disabilities (MUPD) as an umbrella of all disability categories in Mbale including all Disability Peoples’ Organizations (DPOs) commenced its journey in 1994 as a result being established from NUDIPU the mother organization to promote the unification of various PWD groups. MUPD completed its registration as per the determinant for a CBO by Mbale District Local Government with registration number 1736.

Goals and Objectives
- To network and lobby resources to empower and engage PWDs in income generating activities.
- To encourage savings among the persons living with disabilities.
- To advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities.
- To promote inclusiveness of persons with disabilities in social economic activities for development.

We encourage persons with disabilities to participate in community activities like games and use these as a platform for educating communities on the abilities of persons with disabilities
